~ About Me ~
People have always admired and loved the food I cook, be it pickles, chats, or anything in general. I have been sending out my homemade chatnis, pickles, papad, Khakra, badi (mungodi) and different Indian spices to my relatives and friends. There hasn’t been a time they didn’t appreciate it with all their hearts and kept asking me to start a business out of the taste in my hands.
It all started in year 2020 during lockdown, since it was the pickle-making season of the year when the lockdown imposed. Back in lockdown, when everyone was struggling, I made around 100 kgs of pickles and sent them to our relatives and friends who showered them with a lot of love. It gave me an urge to do something more than just the routine and make the best out of it. I was very motivated and inspired to spread my wings.
Pickles, Papad, Chatni have a sacred space in Indian cuisine. These are the most cherished things for Indians, be it a restaurant, a party, a picnic or a wedding, theres one thing that will make it to every plate, PICKLES. Pickles-papad-chatni complete the Indian cuisine. With all my enthusiasm and glitter in my eyes, I witnessed my 1st ever commercial success and wanted to make it my source of independent life. That’s when Jain’s Tanu Pickles started.
That’s not all, I didn’t stop there, all my life, I had one dream-to be independent and have an identity of my own. Luxury was not something I was chasing all of it for! My idea of being successful or independent was a little different than usual. I didn’t want it only for myself, but also to set an example and involve as many women in this business. Today, we are here with a group of women running the business, women from different small towns, and villages, empowered and independent more than ever, and if it doesn’t look like a fairy tale, then I am not sure what a fairy tale is!
